Maintpartner sells its engineering workshop business in Kouvola, Finland

Maintpartner Finland sells its engineering workshop business in Kouvola, Finland to Dust Control Systems Oy, based in Loviisa, Finland.

The deal includes the workshop machinery and related inventory. Nine employees transfer to the new owner as existing employees.

Also the real estate with land area were sold.

Both contracts are valid as from 1 January 2014.

Dariusz Kowalczyk appointed as Maintpartner’s new Country President

Dariusz Kowalczyk has been appointed as President, Maintpartner Poland and a member of the Group Management Team as of 7 October, 2013.

Dariusz has many years of experience of service business in Polish and international corporations, and has held various managerial positions during his career.

The present Country Manager, Grzegorz Siodłowski, will take up the position of a HUB leader for the Gdansk area.

Peter Jonsson new Country President for Maintpartner Sweden

Peter Jonsson has been appointed President Maintpartner Sweden and member of the Group Management Team. Peter will join the company as latest in the beginning of March 2014.

Peter, who has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Linköping and a B.B.A. in Corporate Finance and organization, has spent 16 years in various managerial positions in the ABB group and has for the last three years been the MD of Alstom Power Sweden.

Maintpartner Finland signs significant hydropower operation and maintenance outsourcing contract

Maintpartner Finland and Fortum have signed a three-year operation and maintenance agreement regarding Fortum's hydropower plants in the Oulujoki and Imatra regions.

Under the agreement, the local operation and maintenance personnel of Fortum's hydropower plants will transfer to Maintpartner as existing employees, effective 1 December 2013. The number of employees transferring from the Oulujoki and Imatra regions is 34 and 19, respectively. Some Fortum employees will remain locally at the power plants. These employees will focus on the management of hydropower assets, on local stakeholder relations and on hydropower investment projects.

-The agreement signed with Fortum is a significant step for Maintpartner as we expand in local operation and maintenance of hydropower plants as well as in project and installation services, especially in the Nordic countries, says Maintpartner's Juha Lepikko, Deputy Managing Director.

To stregthen sales organisation and operative management in Maintpartner Sweden, the following appointments have been made:

Peter Revay will be in charge of Sales and Marketing.

Anders Mötsch is appointed Operative manager with responsibility for operations in all business areas.

New Personnel Manager at Maintpartner AB

Linda Herbst,39 years old has been appointed as personnel manager at Maintpartner AB in Sweden. Linda Herbst comes from Lidl as an HR specialist. The role as personnel manager includes besides personnel matters, responsibility for the company's EHSQ (environment, health, safety, quality) and communication.

Linda Herbst will join the company on August 12.

Fortaco Estonia enhances its maintenance by entering co-operation with Maintpartner

Maintpartner and Fortaco have signed a three year maintenance outsourcing agreement. The agreement is valid from 3 June 2013 onwards and covers the Fortaco Narva production site. Maintenance personnel will transfer from the current service supplier to Maintpartner as old employees.


- We wanted to continue the overall productivity improvement and systematic production equipment availability improvement at our site in Narva by choosing a service supplier who is specialized in this, says Tomas Forsgård, Executive Vice President, Finland & Baltics from Fortaco.


- This agreement is a remarkable step for Maintpartner considering our extension plans in Estonia. The agreement also is the first maintenance outsourcing agreement, where the service concept is fully based on the different productized service components, Value Elements, tells Tommi Kajasoja from Maintpartner Group.

Strengthening operations in Maintpartner group

Following nominations have been made in order to strengthen the sales and operations in Maintpartner group from 1.5.2013.

Johan Westermarck will continue as Group CEO but will leave Finnish Country Manager position. Markku Simola has been nominated as Country President, Maintpartner Finland. Markku Leinonen has been nominated as a successor to Markku Simola to his position as Business Unit Director South Finland.

Tommi Kajasoja, has been nominated as Vice President, Sales and Marketing to Maintpartner Group. Tommi Kajasoja will also continue to lead Baltic Countries and Expert Services development. Juha Lepikko has been nominated as Vice President, Business Development and Integrations in Maintpartner Group. He will also continue with sales, quality, environment and integration projects in Finland.

Maintpartner wins Service Provider of the Year Award

Boliden Kokkola, Finland, has chosen Maintpartner as the Service Provider of the Year.

One of the selection criteria was Maintpartner's exemplary attitude towards work safety; both work supervisors and technicians were assessed to have good knowledge of safety issues. Also quality of the work and clear invoicing were acknowledged, as well as Maintpartner's ability to respond quickly to additional resource requests. Furthermore, Maintpartner's long experience of working in industrial environment was appreciated; independent problem solving skills were mentioned as an example of this.

- This recognition is a great achievement. It motivates us and confirms that we are progressing in the right direction, says Helinä Marjamaa, Director, Business Unit West/North Finland.

This award is not the first one granted to Maintpartner by Boliden. In 2012, Maintpartner received the Best Partner Award from Boliden Harjavalta, Finland.

Maintpartner expands in Poland

Maintpartner ASI Sp. z o.o. has acquired 75% of Rubo Operator Sp. z.o.o. in Poland.

Ownership of the remaining 25% stays with the seller Rubo Sp z o.o., who is the owner of companies whose main businesses are scaffolding manufacturing, renting, selling and scaffolding installations.

Rubo Operator offers contract-based maintenance and operation services to companies operating in the Gdynia Shipyard area. Also expert services like crane maintenance are included in the company's portfolio. Rubo Operator has some 90 employees.

- This acquisition is in line with Maintpartner's ambition to grow within industrial maintenance business in the Baltic Sea region and an important step for us to strengthen our position in Poland, says Grzegorz Siodłowski, President of Maintpartner Poland.

Maintpartner has acquired the business operations of EAutomation AB, a company based in Karlskoga, Sweden.

The acquisition strengthens Maintpartner in its ambition to be the leading maintenance partner in Sweden.

- EAutomation extends our skills and expertise base as well as our offering bringing value added to our customers, personnel and owners, says Managing Director Peter Revay, Maintpartner AB.

EAutomation focuses on electrical and automation solutions for, e.g. industry and facilities. Number of staff is approximately 10 and net sales some SEK 14 million.
