Maintpartner acquires Conmaint in Finland

Maintpartner, a company specializing in the provision of industrial maintenance and operation services, and Conmaint Oy, a company specializing in the provision of industrial maintenance services and process construction, have signed a letter of intent on the sale of Conmaint Oy’s entire share capital. Conmaint has offices in Seinäjoki and Vaasa and employs approx. 27 people. The objective is to complete the sale by the end of the year.
-Conmaint was founded in 1997 and has grown ever since. We have now reached the point where either a very heavy investment in the development of the company’s organization and other restructuring measures or its sale is required, says Markku Kilpiö, the Managing Director of Conmaint Oy.
-The purchase provides excellent support to our growth strategy. It enables us to establish a foothold in Seinäjoki, where previously we have had no operations. Conmaint strengthens our expertise in the maintenance services and processes relating to industrial production. Furthermore, their technical expertise in the graining technique needed in the food industry is very significant, as it increases our opportunities to expand our services to clients operating in that field, says Jouko Latvakangas, the Managing Director of Maintpartner.
The acquisition supports the entire organization, which currently employs 1 100 people, but particularly complements Maintpartner’s operations in Western Finland.

Maintpartner extends operations to Lieksa, Finland

The maintenance of the Amcor Flexibles Finland Oy’s Lieksa unit transfers to Maintpartner on 1.10.2007.
"Maintenance requires special expertise and therefore it is best to let professionals take care of it. This allows us to focus better on our core business", the Factory Manager Harri Kontiainen from Amcor Flexibles Oy explains.
Following the contract, Maintpartner will open a new office in Lieksa.
"This is a great start for us in the economic area of Lieksa and provides excellent support to our growth strategy", says the Vice President, Central Finland, Juha Lepikko.
Amcor Flexibles Finland Oy is part of the international packaging group Amcor Flexibles. The Lieksa unit manufactures elastic packaging principally for the needs of food processing industry.

Maintpartner extends laboratory services in Kokkola, Finland

Maintpartner purchases the laboratory operations relating to the environmental and food processing industries from the Health Care District Municipal Federation of the Kokkola Region.
The preliminary purchase contract has been signed, and the aim is to sign the final contract by 30.11.2007. Business operations will transfer to Maintpartner on 1.1.2008 at the latest. The personnel will transfer to Maintpartner as existing employees.
Following the contract, Maintpartner becomes a significant provider of laboratory services in the Kokkola Region, which further improves Maintpartner’s ability to serve the local industries.

The Metso Paper’s Riihimäki unit becomes Maintpartner’s customer

The Metso Paper’s Riihimäki unit has signed a comprehensive maintenance contract with Maintpartner, taking effect from the beginning of October. The contract also includes the establishment of a maintenance information system.

Innogas’s maintenance operations to Maintpartner

The maintenance of a liquid petroleum gas filling plant of the Porvoo-based Oy Innogas Ab in Kulloo, Finland transfers to Maintpartner on 16.9.2007. With the transfer, the current maintenance personnel will transfer to Maintpartner as existing employees. The contract also includes the establishment of a maintenance information system.

Maintpartner expands operations in Sweden

Maintpartner, a company specializing in the provision of maintenance and operation services for industrial operators, purchases some of Fortum Service’s technical maintenance operations in the Stockholm region. The purchase includes the maintenance and repair of roads, bridges, and tunnels. Following the purchase, 10 people will transfer into Maintpartner’s service.

The current purchase is related to the reorganization of operations between Fortum and CapMan, on the basis of which Fortum Service¿s industrial maintenance operations were transferred to the ownership of a number of funds managed by CapMan in the autumn of 2006.

Maintpartner’s other offices in Sweden are located in Arboga, Karlskoga, and Hofors.

Maintpartner employs over 200 people in Sweden and approximately 800 in Finland.

Maintpartner growing through acquisitions

Maintpartner Oy, which provides maintenance services for industries, has acquired the maintenance business of OnePoint Oy operating in Kokkola in Western Finland intended for the chemical industry together with the other related industrial services, and the business of EM-Kunnossapito Oy, which specialises in maintenance services for the concrete industry and which is based in Nummela in Southern Finland.

After the acquisitions carried out on 1 April 2007, Maintpartner will be transferred 126 persons in Kokkola and 12 persons in Nummela. This will bring the total number of personnel in Maintpartner to over 1,000.

Finnish and Swedish competition authorities approved Fortum's divestment of industrial maintenance services

The Finnish and Swedish competition authorities have approved the deal by which Fortum sells its business in charge of industrial maintenance services to the funds managed by CapMan. The agreement was signed on 21 September 2006 and closed on 31 October 2006. The new company specialising in industrial maintenance, Maintpartner, will start its operations on 1 November 2006.
